Welcome to this tutorial on creating a three-dimensional dot mandala painting! This simple art technique allows you to produce a stunning 3D effect.
I have created this painting on a keychain. You can also make a solo painting with this technique.

Following steps for the 3D Mandala:
Materials You’ll Need:
Acrylic paints, Mandala art tools, Circular canvas
Step 1: Prepare Your Canvas: Paint the entire surface of your canvas with a solid black color. This will serve as the background for your mandala.
Step 2: Select Your Tools: Choose 8 to 10 mandala tools, ranging from the large to the smallest. The size of your canvas will determine how many rows of dots you can fit, starting with the largest tool and progressing to the smallest.
Step 3: Begin Dotting: Using the largest tool and white acrylic paint, start creating dots around the outer edge of the canvas. These dots should form a pattern where each dot gradually decreases in size until it reaches the opposite end of the arc, then gradually increases again. Place the dots as close to each other as possible.
Step 4: Add Gradient Dots: Mix a tiny amount of black paint into your white paint to create a slightly darker shade. Using the second largest tool, dot a new row inside the first, following the same decreasing and increasing pattern. Continue adding a bit more black paint to darken each subsequent row, and use progressively smaller tools for each row until you reach the centre with the darkest dots.
By the end, your mandala will have a beautiful three-dimensional effect, transitioning from bright white on the outside to deep black in the center. Enjoy the process and the stunning results!
