Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to create a template for an Instagram story where anyone can add their painting. This template will allow people to showcase their artwork using a background image you’ve selected. Have a look at the tempates created by me.
Step 1: Select Your Background Image
- Choose an image that will serve as a beautiful backdrop for the painting. The background should be visually appealing but not too busy, so the artwork will stand out.
- Make sure the image resolution is high enough for Instagram Stories (1080x1920 pixels is ideal).
Step 2: Open the DIYvinci Design Studio
- open DIYvinci design studio in the website www.diyvinci.com
- Open your selected background image within the design studio.
Step 3: Use the "Erase BG" Tool
- In the Brushes section of the DIYvinci Design Studio, look for the “Erase BG (Background Eraser)” tool.
- Select the tool, and begin erasing the area where you want others to place their paintings. This area will be transparent so that users can add their own artwork.
Tip: The erased portion should be large enough for a typical painting. A central space is usually ideal, but you can choose any area you want for the art placement (e.g., left corner, center, etc.).
Step 4: Save the Image in PNG Format
- Once you’ve erased the background, save the image in **PNG format**. PNG files support transparency, which is essential for the template.
- Name your file something recognizable, like "Painting_Template.png."
Step 5: Open Instagram and Create a Story
- Open **Instagram** and swipe right to create a new Story.
- Tap on the **"Add Your Template"** option if you have one (or you can just add your saved template image directly to the story).
- Upload the PNG image you just created by selecting it from your gallery.
Step 6: Minimize the Template Image
- Once the image appears on your Instagram Story, minimize it by pinching with your fingers. Place it in one of the corners of the screen (left, right, top, or bottom).
Step 7: Add the Template Again
- Tap the "Add Image" button to add another copy of your template (or a new image if you wish to further customize it).
Step 8: Pin the Template
- Pin the empty space where anyone can add their painting in the image by holding down the image with your finger until the pin option appears.
Step 9: Add the Artwork and Post
- Add your painting in the black space and post the story
- Now, anyone who views your Instagram Story can click the template and upload their painting.
- The painting will be automatically displayed in the transparent area you left open in the template.
Your Template is Ready! anyone can add their own artwork to the template you've designed! When people share their painted creations on their own Instagram Stories, they’ll see your background with their painting seamlessly added into the designated space.
Tips:
- You can add any additional instructions or call-to-action text like “Add your painting here!” on the template or in the Story description.
- Make sure the template fits well with Instagram’s aspect ratio (1080x1920 pixels).
- Share your template with your followers by tagging #PaintingTemplate or encouraging others to share their paintings using your template.
