Welcome, aspiring artists and Disney enthusiasts alike! Today, we embark on a magical journey to bring one of the most beloved characters of all time to life—none other than the iconic Mickey Mouse! Whether you're a seasoned artist or just picking up a pencil for the first time, this tutorial is designed to guide you through each step with creativity and fun. With his cheerful smile and timeless charm, drawing Mickey Mouse will not only enhance your skills but also sprinkle a bit of Disney magic into your day. So grab your pencils, let your imagination soar, and let's draw Mickey!
Step 1: Draw the Head
Circle: Start by drawing a large circle for Mickey's head. This will be the base of the face.( To help get your lineup accurate Draw a vertical line down the center of the circle. This will help you position Mickey’s features symmetrically. Draw a horizontal line across the middle of the circle. This will guide you in placing the eyes and nose.)
Step 2 : Draw the ears
Ears : Draw two smaller circles on the top of the large circle, one on each side, slightly overlapping Mickey’s head. These are Mickey’s signature ears.
Step 3 and 4 : Outline Mickey’s Face
Jaw and Cheeks: Draw two curved lines starting from the right and left inside the circle (see picture 3) to form Mickey’s cheeks and draw two Two humps that connect together in the middle (see picture 4).
Step 5 : Draw the eyes
Oval Eyes: In the very center draw a hill like shape small line. (See picture 5) On top of the straight line and draw two long ovals for Mickey's eyes. (See picture 6)
Step 6 : Add the nose
Nose: In the center of the circle slightly below the eyes line draw a small oval for Mickey's nose. If you wish you can color the nose black :) (See picture 7)
Step 7 : Detail the eyes
Pupils : Inside each eye, draw a small circle or oval for the pupils, towards the top inner side of each eye. (See picture 8)
Step 8 : Add the Mouth
Smile: Underneath the nose, draw a wide, curved line for Mickey’s smile. (Tip : start off by drawing the dimple curved lines first, see picture 9 and slowly build up to picture 10)
Tongue : Inside the smile, draw two curved lines that connect to create his tongue. ( See picture 11)
Step 9 : Final Touches
Eyebrows: Above each eye, draw a small curved line to indicate eyebrows. (P.s i forgot to add eyebrows to mine :D ) Two small lines on the bottom near his mouth outline his jaw.
*If you created a outline while drawing*
Go over your pencil lines with black ink or a dark pencil. Once the ink is dry, gently erase all pencil guidelines. Color in Mickey’s face with black for the ears, top of the head, and pupils; white for the face highlights; and red for the tongue.
