Make it
Use a soft fabric square and a small, lightweight box or book already at hand. No sewing, adhesive, or cutting is required.
- 1
Place the object diagonally in the middle of the fabric.
- 2
Fold the bottom corner over it, then fold the side corners inward like an envelope.
- 3
Fold the remaining corner down and tuck its end under an earlier fold if it reaches. Loose folds are fine.
- 4
Turn the bundle gently to inspect it, then unwrap it when you like.
Short on energy? Fold fabric over the object once and compare the covered and uncovered shapes.
A good place to stop: One wrapped object is enough, even if the last fold stays loose.
Make it work for you: Use a larger fabric square and a light object. Skip tucking if pinching is uncomfortable.
Another route: Use a different object and see how its proportions change the folds.
