If you have them: colored pencils.
Make it
Make the stamp as large as your hand so there is room to play. Ordinary paper is plenty.
- 1
Draw a roomy rectangle and name its place of origin, such as the Department of Missing Socks.
- 2
Add one emblem for the place: a lone sock, a moon-shaped teacup, or a sleeping lighthouse.
- 3
Invent a postal value, such as three wishes, and add a few cancellation lines across a corner.
Short on energy? Draw only the emblem and name its home.
A good place to stop: A place name, emblem, and invented value finish your stamp.
Make it work for you: Leave out borders and tiny lettering. Use a large page or describe the design aloud.
Another route: Make a stamp for a real place as you wish it could be.
