Make it
Use sturdy foldable paper, a small amount of washable water-based paint that can be dispensed directly, and a washable or protected work surface. Keep cleanup materials nearby; drying time is extra.
- 1
Fold the paper in half and reopen it on your prepared surface.
- 2
Dispense two or three small drops of paint onto one half, away from the edges.
- 3
Close the paper and press gently with a flat hand, then reopen it to reveal the mirrored marks.
- 4
Leave the paper flat to dry and clean your work area.
Short on energy? Use a single small paint drop.
A good place to stop: One opened print is complete; it does not need to resemble anything.
Make it work for you: Press lightly without rubbing. Ask someone to dispense paint or open the fold if gripping is uncomfortable.
Another route: When dry, compare the print upright and upside down without adding details.
