The elementary art technique is a wonderful practice that not only stimulates your imagination but also serves as a good exercise to refine your drawing skills. I learned this technique in school and have created numerous compositions, one of which I have posted here. Although, It wasn’t a part of my art college syllabus but I believe it has sharpened my composition and drawing skills. It has polished my lines and deepened my understanding of principles such as harmony, balance, etc..

In this artwork, real objects from nature are modified according to imagination and stylized with patterns, shapes and unique forms and creating an abstract representation. Further textures and colours are added which is not necessarily according to the real world. The most important aspect of composition is placing objects properly in the foreground, middle ground, and background. We must create harmony and balance with colors and forms. many mediums such as glittering pens, sketchpens, and other mediums can be used to decorate the forms. Overall, its a fun and creative excercise.
